On November 26, 2008, William Kitchens was quoted in the Daily Report, in an article entitled, “In the Trenches: Legal Aid Won’t Raise Pacesetter Rates in Weak Economy.” The article describes how the Atlanta Legal Aid Society will not raise contribution rates for its annual campaign next year, as originally planned. Kitchens has volunteered to lead the campaign again in 2009, making him the first chairman in 25 years to serve a second year.
