American Lawyer Magazine Ranks Arnall Golden Gregory Summer Associates Program No. 2 in Atlanta, No. 15 Nationally

ATLANTA, Nov. 28, 2005 – American Lawyer magazine, in its annual Summer Associates Survey, ranks the Arnall Golden Gregory LLP program No. 2 in Atlanta and No. 15 nationally.

The ranking bolsters an already-strong record of success. In six of the last eight years, the American Lawyer survey has ranked AGG’s summer program No. 1 among Atlanta law firms.

“The dedication of our attorneys and staff to the summer program is unmatched, and that’s why we’ve consistently ranked so high in the American Lawyer survey,” said Nan King, AGG’s hiring partner and head of its summer program. “Our hiring philosophy is to develop a long-term relationship with a small, select group of summer associates, providing the students with the skills, experience and working relationships they’ll need to become partners at AGG.”

The 2005 survey drew responses from almost 6,000 summer associates at 156 firms.  Interns were asked to rate their experience on nine areas, including the interest level of the work and how much of it was “real,” the training and guidance they received, interactions with partners and full-time associates, how well the firm communicated its goals, how accurately it portrayed itself in interviews, how it rated overall as a place to work, and how likely the interns were to accept a job if one were offered.

The surveys, distributed through the firms’ recruiting coordinators, were administered from late June to early August to second- and third-year law students clerking at firms for at least three weeks. Respondents were guaranteed anonymity.

AGG’s 2005 summer associates included Anisa I. Abdullahi (University of Georgia School of Law), Brian D. Boone (Emory University School of Law), Pauletta J. Brown (University of Virginia School of Law), Lisa B. Dowling (Georgia State University College of Law), Matthew T. Harris, (Mercer University), Blaine W. Lindsey (Emory University School of Law), Neera Makwana (Georgia State University School of Law), Linton Mann, III (Duke University School of Law), Rebecca R. McArthur (Georgia State University Law School), Daniel M. Singerman (Emory University School of Law), Marla E. Stewart (Cornell Law School), and Nikolai Zavas (Vanderbilt University Law School).
