Economic development attorneys John Gornall and Wilhelm Ziegler represented German company Benteler International AG in site selection and incentives negotiations for a $900 million hot rolling tube mill in Louisiana. The plan will create an estimated 675 direct jobs at full capacity, 1,000 construction jobs and an estimated 1,500 jobs for suppliers and service providers. Benteler products are used in oil and gas exploration. The competitive site-selection process encompassed a dozen states and 100 sites. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal announced that Benteler would build the facility on 325 acres in Caddo Parish and had signed agreements with the State of Louisiana, the Louisiana Economic Development Office, the Caddo-Bossier Port and other local entities. Founded in 1876, Benteler has 150 locations in more than 35 countries. Other AGG attorneys involved were Brooke Dickerson, Bruce Pavarandeh, Andrew Schutt and Teri Simmons.
