On Saturday, Nov. 15, the real estate practice group of Atlanta law firm Arnall Golden Gregory hosted its fourth annual open house and silent auction fundraiser. For the past three years the event proceeds have benefited C.W. Hill Elementary School, a public school in midtown Atlanta. The event brought in over $25,000, bringing the firm’s total donations to C.W. Hill to over $72,000.
Arnall Golden Gregory began its partnership with C.W. Hill Elementary in 2006, raising monies through a book drive and silent auction, to help fund much-needed books and media equipment for the school’s library. In 2007, Arnall Golden Gregory helped fund a science and math lab for the school.
“Community involvement is an important component of AGG’s core principles,” said Abe J. Schear, co-chair of the firm’s real estate practice group. “C.W. Hill not only offers a terrific education for Atlanta students, but is also a cornerstone for the local community. The school is near to our offices and we work with the school because our efforts provide immediate benefit to the students, parents and all those in our neighborhood.”
The real estate practice group heads up the fundraising efforts. Schear, along with partners Philip G. Skinner, Scott M. Shuman and associate Sarah E. Hale were instrumental in managing this year’s silent auction and past partnerships with C.W. Hill Elementary.
Arnall Golden Gregory would like to thank the more than 150 donors and all those who helped make the event such a success.
