Arnall Golden Gregory Attorneys Marva Jones Brooks and Charles T. Huddleston recently obtained another victory for Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin. They represented Mayor Franklin in three Ethics Complaints filed against her in early 2007 by George Anderson of Rome, Georgia. After filing Responses and submitting Affidavits and other evidence on behalf of the Mayor, they were successful in getting all three Complaints administratively dismissed by the State Ethics Commission. This victory for Mayor Franklin followed a similar result that Brooks and Huddleston achieved for her in August of this year. They obtained a ruling from the Atlanta City Board of Ethics dismissing three Ethics Complaints filed against Mayor Franklin based on a lack of probable cause that a violation of the City’s Ethics Laws had occurred.
