Hans Gant Discussed Economic challenges at the Arnall Golden Gregory Attorney Retreat

Hans Gant, Senior Vice President for Economic Development at the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and  A.J. Robinson, President of Central Atlanta Progress and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, discussed local and statewide economic challenges at the Arnall Golden Gregory attorney retreat, held Oct. 21–22 at Lake Lanier Islands Resort. AGG Partner John L. Gornall Jr. was the discussion moderator. AGG Partners Stephen M. Dorvee and Tycho H.E. Stahl questioned the panel by bringing to light a key problem in the state of Georgia—the workforce readiness of university graduates. Hiring companies argue that recent graduates lack the skills needed for technology, manufacturing and other well-paid jobs. AGG Managing Partner Glenn P. Hendrix ended the discussion on a positive note, commenting that “in all of these challenges there are huge opportunities.”
