ATLANTA, Feb. 1, 2005 – Suzanne Tucker Plybon, a partner in the Private Wealth Practice Group of Atlanta law firm Arnall Golden Gregory LLP, has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel is a professional association consisting of more than 2,600 lawyers from throughout the United States. Fellows of the college are nominated by other fellows in their geographic area and elected by the membership at large. Fellows are selected on the basis of professional reputation and ability in the fields of trusts and estates and on the basis of having made substantial contributions to these fields through lecturing, writing, teaching and bar activities.
Plybon, who is a certified public accountant as well as an attorney, focuses on wealth-transfer planning, estate administration and charitable giving. She is an author and frequent lecturer on estate planning and has appeared as a tax law commentator for CNN and CNNfn, including appearances on Daybreak, In The Money and CNN Today.
In addition to her law practice, Plybon is active in several professional and civic organizations, including the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, the Duke University Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee and the Atlanta Regional Campaign Council for The Campaign for Duke. She has also served on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta Inc.
