Abe Schear Quoted in Reporter Newspapers

AGG Partner Abe J. Schear is quoted in the Reporter Newspapers article “Jewish National Fund Thrives as It Moves beyond Planting Trees.” The 109-year-old Jewish National Fund (JNF) will hold its national convention in Atlanta for the first time October 10–11, 2010, at the InterContinental Hotel in Buckhead. The JNF has evolved into a global environmental leader by planting 240 million trees, building more than 210 reservoirs and dams, developing more than 250, 000 acres of land, creating more than 1,000 parks, providing the infrastructure for more than 1,000 communities, bringing life to the Negev Desert and educating students around the world about Israel and the environment, according the www.jnf.org. Mr. Schear, who joined the organization five years ago and currently serves its Southeast Region Major Gifts Chairman, says he grew up taking family trips to the Jewish state, including visits to the JNF forests. He says, “The more you learn about what JNF is doing, the more meaningful the connection to the land and people.” To read the full article, please click here.
