Our attorneys are recognized as community leaders, including some of the following recent past or present highlights:
  • Jim Gober served as a board member of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers’ Foundation (avlf.org) for almost 10 years and served as AVLF’s President in 2012. He received the organization’s Break the Cycle Award in 2004 and the S. Phillip Heiner Award in 2011.
  • Alan Minsk serves on the Board of Trustees of the Atlanta Jewish Academy, a k-12 Jewish day school (atljewishacademy.org).
  • Kevin Coy is a Member of the Capital Area Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (http://www.caglcc.org/).
  • David Marmins is a Member of the Civil Rights Committee of Anti-Defamation League in the Southeast Region (www.adl.org).
  • Brooke Dickerson is on the Membership Committee of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), Atlanta chapter (www.crewatlanta.org).

  • Brooke Dickerson is a board member of The Temple and serves on its Membership and Governance Committees (www.the-temple.org).

  • Teri Simmons serves as Chair of the Atlanta Sister Cities Commission, as appointed by Mayor Kasim Reed. (www.atlantaga.gov/index.aspx?page=642).
  • Teri Simmons is the past President and past Chairman of the Board of the Georgia Indo American Chamber of Commerce, current board member and legal counsel to the German American Cultural Foundation, past Chair and national board member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and past scholarship recipient for travel to Israel with the American Jewish Committee.
  • Teri Simmons is the co-organizer of the Center for Civil and Human Rights/ Nuremberg Trial Exhibition Exchange and a recipient of the Nuremberg International Prize of Honor.
  • Mike Burke has won awards from the ABA Section of International Law as co-author of a 2011 policy supporting U.S. ratification of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and a 2014 policy opposing various laws around the world that criminalize homosexuality.
