Maya Foster is an associate in the Corporate & Securities practice.

Maya focuses her practice on the representation of private and public companies in a variety of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities, finance, entity selection and formation, and other matters.

Maya graduated from The University of Chicago Law School, where she served as President of the Entertainment and Sport Law Society, President of Spring Break of Service, and Co-Chair of Community Service for the Earl B. Dickerson Chapter of the Black Law Students Association. Maya also worked with the Criminal Justice Clinic providing legal representation to children and young adults accused of delinquency and crime.

Maya graduated Summa Cum Laude from Syracuse University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Rhetorical Studies and double minors in Sport Management and Music Industry. During her senior year, Maya studied at Syracuse University’s Los Angeles campus, while interning for a global record label in its artist and repertoire department and a management company that represented a number of renowned music artists and athletes.

Prior to joining AGG, Maya also worked as a Match Corps Fellow through The University of Chicago’s Urban Education Institute providing math instruction to at-risk high school students and as a Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) Graduate Fellow at the Office of the Cook County Public Guardian representing youth dually-involved in the child welfare and criminal justice systems.
