Legislative Policy

Arnall Golden Gregory’s Healthcare Practice works with healthcare clients and their trade associations, such as the Georgia Health Care Association, to analyze, develop, and advocate on their behalf with regard to legislative and regulatory policy. More than twenty AGG attorneys and lobbyists bring a wealth of professional experience, insight, and expertise to government relations, legislative and rulemaking advocacy, and public policy. Our expertise enables our clients to interact effectively with all levels of government.

AGG attorneys and lobbyists have years of experience in both public and private sectors and include former federal, state, and local government leaders. We offer direct lobbying support and assist our clients in the strategic development of legislative and regulatory policies. Our team, which overlaps significantly with AGG’s Government Affairs and Public Policy practice, is uniquely positioned to assist our clients in developing relationships with elected officials and senior policy makers in both federal and state government. We regularly testify before committees of the Georgia General Assembly that consider new laws that affect the healthcare providers in this state.

Members of our team have held positions in the White House, in Congress, at the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Justice, and as state legislators. Our attorneys have ongoing interactions with federal and state agencies that oversee the healthcare industry and have broad knowledge about the inner workings of government. Our experience allows us to design strategies customized to each client’s specific federal, state, or local policy challenges and opportunities, which helps our clients obtain the best possible outcomes in their legislative and executive branch public policy programs.
