International Litigation

Arnall Golden Gregory attorneys represent both U.S. clients pursuing claims abroad and non-U.S. clients with claims in the United States, in litigation, arbitration, and mediation. AGG litigators are experienced in conducting discovery in other countries to build evidence supporting their clients’ cases, and in securing documents in the United States that can be used in international litigation, where document collection can be more challenging. Clients have included the ex-spouse of a global-company founder seeking production of financial documents; a food additive manufacturer victimized in a fraudulent scheme crossing several borders; a prominent Ukrainian businessman involved in a property ownership dispute with an entity incorporated in the U.S.; and a global software manufacturer fighting claims of alleged breaches of representations and warranties in a purchase and sale agreement. The issues the practice has experience with are wide ranging and include Intellectual Property violations, contract breaches, antitrust issues and trade secrets misappropriation.

Healthcare, real estate, technology, food, financial services, logistics and transportation, life sciences and manufacturing are some of the industries in which our international litigation clients do business. Arbitration is an integral part of AGG’s international litigation services. Managing Partners Glenn P. Hendrix is the founding president of the Atlanta International Arbitration Society, and several AGG attorneys are members of domestic and international arbitration panels. AGG also is a member of Globalaw, a network of independent law firms with more than 4,500 attorneys in cities worldwide, which gives us access to regional legal experts who can assist in successfully resolving disputes anywhere.

AGG supports its legal services with multilingual legal professionals, employing attorneys from Russia, Germany, India, and Argentina, as well as attorneys and paralegals fluent in Russian, German, Spanish, Hindi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Mandarin, Cantonese, Ukrainian, Italian, French, Romanian, and Yoruba.
