AGG’s Diversity Committee is proud to announce the six winners of the Arnall Golden Gregory LLP Excellence in Leadership Book Awards:

  • Dionne Ashley Hopkins from Clark Atlanta University;
  • Estelle D. Williams from Clark Atlanta University;
  • William Lee from Morehouse College;
  • Laurence Hull from Morehouse College;
  • Danielle E. Dirickson from Spelman College; and
  • Michelae Hobbs from Spelman College.

This year the Firm expanded the number of award winners from two students to six, and the annual award is now intended for two rising senior students from Clark Atlanta University, two from Morehouse College, and two from Spelman College.

The Excellence in Leadership Book Award, which includes a scholarship in the amount of $1,000, was established as a means to reach out to and support students interested in the practice of law and to demonstrate the Firm’s support of diversity and inclusion in the legal field. Award recipients must meet the following criteria:

  • Active community service volunteer;
  • Academic achievement;
  • Participation in student leadership programs; and
  • Demonstrated intent to pursue a legal career or interest in legal studies.

“Arnall Golden Gregory believes that pipeline initiatives like the Excellence in Leadership Book Award are critical to promoting diversity in the legal profession,” said Partner Althea J.K. Broughton. “We are pleased to support the legal aspirations of these very worthy students, and we are excited that we were able to expand this initiative to reach even more students this school year.”
