Ms. Field serves as Leader of the HIPAA Team and is a member of the Life Sciences Practice Group. Her undergraduate degree in human biology is from Stanford University. After obtaining her Masters Degree from the University of California-Berkeley, she worked in clinical genetics and reproductive biology for several years before going to law school. Ms. Field uses her clinical background to assist clients in issues involving regulatory matters for both healthcare providers and life sciences companies. Ms. Field works on HIPAA and Medicare operational and reimbursement issues. Ms. Field is a member of the Executive Committee of the HIPAA Georgia Strategic Local Implementation Process (GSLIP), the Georgia Biomedical Partnership and volunteers with the Genetics Advisory Committee to the Georgia Department of Community Health. In addition, Ms. Field has served on an institutional review board (IRB).
