Atlanta-based Web resource gives entrepreneurs, investors information needed to succeed in today's markets

growCo.com adds news feature from IPO.com

ATLANTA, May, 2001 - To give entrepreneurs and investors better information about the public stock markets, Atlanta-based growCo.com has added a full-featured IPO news offering to its enterprise Web resource (www.growco.com). The resource is compiled and updated daily by IPO.com, one of the most recognized sources for news and analysis on initial public offerings.

Under the agreement, IPO.com will provide growCo.com with a full-featured resource including daily news updates on companies going public. The feature will include a full IPO calendar and news on filings, pricings and the IPO aftermarket.

In exchange, growCo.com will provide IPO.com with an interactive copy of Richardson's critically acclaimed book, the "Growth Company Guide 2000," for placement in the venture capital feature of IPO.com. The book contains about 250 entries, organized in A-to-Z fashion, that describe the concepts and processes of raising capital for growing companies.

Richardson launched the growCo Web site in 1996. The site contains an interactive, electronic copy of Richardson's book, as well as a number of national and Southeastern regional resources, including lists of Atlanta angel investors, venture capitalists, business incubators and investment banks. The site also contains an executive-level summary of capital-raising strategies for privately held companies, resources for private equity investors and links to regional business news.

GrowCo.com is used extensively by entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, investment bankers and business consultants in the Southeast and beyond. The resource draws more than 60,000 visits per month. More than 40 percent of its traffic comes from high-tech strongholds Silicon Valley and Boston.
