Keith A. Mauriello is a partner in the Healthcare Practice. He is the co-editor of the AGG Healthcare Authority, a weekly electronic newsletter distributed by the Healthcare Practice that includes current news briefs, articles and announcements relevant to the healthcare industry. Mr. Mauriello is also a member of the firm’s Hiring Committee.

Mr. Mauriello focuses his practice on the representation of healthcare providers, including health systems, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospices, home health agencies and physicians. He represents and advises providers on federal and state healthcare regulatory matters, ranging from operations and regulatory compliance, administrative litigation and change of ownership, due diligence and other healthcare transactional matters. He has extensive experience in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement compliance and appeals, civil monetary penalty defense, certificate of need matters and health information privacy issues. Mr. Mauriello also advises on and prepares providers for regulatory issues relating to laws promulgated under healthcare reform.

Mr. Mauriello is a frequent speaker on numerous healthcare topics, including at events sponsored by American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), Georgia Hospital Association (GHA) and Georgia Health Care Association (GHCA). He has also authored many publications on healthcare issues, including several American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) publications, a chapter in the Georgia Hospital Law Manual, and an article in the Georgia Bar Journal. He is involved with various professional healthcare organizations and is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Health Law Section for the State Bar of Georgia. Mr. Mauriello also takes an active role in his community and was a member of Leadership Atlanta's LEAD Program, class of 2008.
