Employee Benefits Practice Team:
 Design qualified retirement plans, including ESOPs, 401(k) plans, profit sharing plans and defined benefit pension plans. Represent corporate and other sponsors of such plans, and individuals in employee benefits-related matters, including the taxation of contributions to and distributions from such plans. In-depth expertise involving the methods of correction for qualified retirement plan operational failures, representation of various parties in numerous ESOP transactions, and preparation of employee communications of benefit programs.Assist clients with meeting their plan-related fiduciary responsibilities, including designing appropriate plan goverance structures.

Represent the firm's employee benefits clients in compliance-related matters before the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor, and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.

Advise clients on the design and operation of welfare benefit plans, including their group health, life and disability programs, as well as self-funded medical arrangements. Extensive experience with employee benefits issues associated with mergers and acquisitions of business entities, including negotiation of representations and conduct of employee benefits due diligence.
