Mr. Wilmer is a partner in the Commercial Real Estate Practice Group, as well as being the Chair of that Practice Group. His practice includes the purchase, development, financing, operation and sale of regional shopping centers, neighborhood strip centers, apartment buildings, large and small office buildings, hotels and parking lots. He has extensive experience in the structuring of joint ventures and limited liability companies and the negotiation, drafting and review of partnership, limited liability company, acquisition, management and development documentation for developers, investors, purchasers, and sellers.

  • Representation of Borrowers in AAA rated financings secured by multiple regional shopping centers.
  • Representation of REIT in acquisition and sale of regional shopping centers and office buildings
  • Representation of REIT in acquiring significant partnership interests in partnerships owning or acquiring regional shopping centers or office buildings and restructuring the related partnership agreements and management agreements
  • Representation of Investor in acquisition of an interest in three Australian regional shopping centers
  • Representation of major hotel Operator in the acquisition of a 460-room hotel and in acquisition of hotel sites in office parks and development of large hotels.
  • Representation of Investor in the roll up of partnerships owning Class A office buildings.
  • Representation of Developer in development, financing and management of loft apartment buildings and loft office buildings.
  • Representation of Investor in acquiring interests in a real estate development company.
  • Representation of Developer of industrial warehouses.
  • Representation of Owners in operational issues with properties.
