Area of Practice
Litigation, Healthcare (Chairman), International Business

Glenn Hendrix is a partner in the firm's Litigation Department. His practice is focused on healthcare regulatory and fraud/abuse matters and international commercial litigation.

In the healthcare area, Mr. Hendrix has successfully defended providers against federal and state allegations of fraud and abuse, including actions under the False Claims Act and administrative exclusion proceedings. He has extensive experience in complex Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement disputes, including, for example, obtaining a $60 million recovery in a series of appeals on behalf of one client, securing injunctions that invalidated federal reimbursement rules in another series of cases, obtaining a precedent-setting ruling that low Medicaid reimbursement rates may constitute an unconstitutional taking of property, and winning a state-wide increase in hospice reimbursement rates. Mr. Hendrix also has long-standing experience in survey and certification matters involving long-term care facilities, winning both administrative appeals and actions for injunctive relief.

Mr. Hendrix has successfully handled a variety of international commercial disputues, including, for instance, using the New York Convention to enforce a Russian arbitration award in a Seattle court, holding a Ugandan bank liable as a principal on an obligation of one of its affiliates, and arbitrating an insurance coverage claim arising from the sale of an oil refinery to China. Mr. Hendrix is the Co-Chair of the International Litigation Committee of the International Section of the American Bar Association and formerly served as Co-Chair of that Committee's Working Group on Transnational Discovery.
